It doesnt take many years to get a routine how things happen. Late-autumn ritual; reindeer-shopping and chopping has been successfully conducted. A new freezerbox has taken half-a-reineer in with open arms.Julebord-season has started. Julebord is a Norwegian way to begin Christmas celebrations. All self-respecting workplaces, associations, clubs, and groups of friends organize their own. The more you participate the better social life you probably are accounted to have. In Julebord (preferably very glittery, "Christmas tree look") dresss-up people eat greasy food, drink amazing amounts of aquavite, give preferably funny speeches, dance so that their necks, feet and voice (also some kind of singing involved) are sore the day after, puke and hold the hair of those collagues who puke. It is also socially acceptable to dance on tables, climb to christmas tree, light pole or other appropriate construction, improvise a singing-performance of drinking songs or arrange other suprising entertainment. It is less acceptable to fight but it happens as well. A julebord proper style also gives something to gossip about for a while, as it is the perfect occasion for rather random couples to leave the party together. The day after pale and shaky people crawl from their dens to buy pizza and rent a movie...
The faculty of biosciences, fisheries and economics (no, there is no spelling mistake) had a julebord yesterday. And yes, it was great fun :)
