Touristing Finnmarkskysten
My parents and Piki came to fetch me from Ifjordfjellet, and we had one week of holidays in North-East Finnmark. A few trips with a tent, a few nights in different campinghytta in all sort of random places, first at Norkyn peninsula and then along Porsangerfjorden.
A family of swans with four youngs.
Kifjord
Another young one; at Dyfjord this little lamb was the first one to welcome us and followed people everywhere; also into the local sommercafe :) In this very small village and home-made atmosphere we were dragged out of our holiday bubble by the locals who told us so crazy news from south Norway that it was hard to believe. Frying waffles and hearing about the killings just did not fit together very well. Still, we were so isolated from the Norwegian society the whole week that it did not really feel any closer than when people get killed in Afganistan, Congo, Ivory coast, Palestina and so on... Horrible but far away, kind of. Probably by returning to Tromsø and among Norwegians I will encounter the whole thing differently.

The photo of Norway that I have not managed to take this far: cod drying!
Mehamn
Mehamn from inside the local rorbu - hostel - cafe - adventure camp - facility.
The camp drying after two days of rain at Store Torskefjord. My parents got a real introduction on the Norwegian weather...
Next camp at Porsangerfjorden, at a great little cape north of Børselva. Only very little rain in this camp!
Within few years I have clearly got used to some things in Norway - and at the same time lost some of their magic: my parents were observing the tides, fjords, light, birds, seals and mountains differently, with new eyes.
