Vestre Jakobselva

Vestre Jakobselv -valley at Varanger peninsula is one of the three study regions in our project. This autumn I had the chanse to trap lemmings, count shit of reindeer and lemmings and deposit temperature-loggers at this place. Finally after 6 years of being involved in the project, I would see the third study site!

Landscapes were great, weather was good, company was good...

...reindeer were numerous...

...and so were lemmings!

As well as pellets that were counted...
