Limits of transport

How many banana-boxes (those large cardboard boxes which are so great for moving) can one transport by bike?
Four. And probably not more. At least I think found the limit of my bikes (and my own) transport capacity.

How does it work?
One needs a backpack, which has some sort of straps or other kinds of "points of attachement" on both sides. Using these, one can hang two banana-boxes on ones back. One also needs a back rack, and some kind of an extra strap (a bike lock with a long wire works well). Using this, one can get two boxes on the back rack.

It might not be bikeable, at least not uphill on icy road. But it was a transportable solution.

And yes, this solution works for empty boxes. I would not try boxes filled up with something. Or... maybe one well-strapped on the on the back rack could work.
