This weekend I had no major plans - and that was good, as a reindeer carcass materialized unexpectedly. A group of people had sloughtered reindeer close to Tromsø, and was selling carcasses. The guys apparently did not really believe that Sanja and me would be serious buyers when we walked to their camp, as they welcomed us with "Have you come to wrong place or is it use who are lucky?" Is it always men who buy reindeers?
Now this years reindeer has been put into nice pieces at our terrace (to the amusement of our neighbours, spanish guests and the local magpies) and frozen. And for those who have not red it, I recommend Veikko Huovinen "Hamsterit" as an introduction to the mindsetting of hamstering food for the winter.
