Paddling in the dark. After two years I finally did what had seemed tempting from the beginning in Tromsø... The waves are spookier than in the daylight. So we turned around earlier than planned. No need to get experience in rescuing people in the dark... And the warm feeling within the survival-suit that I got to borrow was probably creating quite false feeling of safety, the water was frozen on top of the kayak. But the waves ceased completely towards the boathouse, and we could concentrate on spotting satellites, shooting stars and - planes. The boathouse is next to the airport, and one landing plane seemed to be so close that it could have been possible to touch it. Its frontlights were lighting a stripe of the sea. We didn't manage to turn the northern lights on, though. Maybe its good to have dreams for the future as well :)
