Birds of the south

This weekend goes to preparations for leaving to study birds in the south. No, not pinguines. We will stay 200km inland at the same bird colony as last year, and that is quite a bit too far inland to see any pinguines.

So I have packed back and forth. Even if I have (since last year) a quite precise answer to questions like: "How many tubes of toothpaste does one need for three months?" It is still not trivial to pack for the Antarctic. And not only pack, organising christmas presents, downloading sound-books (and ending up to re-boot the whole mp3player...), writing down email adresses (sounds funny - but when you have access to a satellite-telephone email you do not get hold of your own address-book)... you name it.
