Kvinnelige forskere

National Geography listen in a recent issue 100 (most?) important scientific findings that have shaped the human society to be what it is today. One woman was mentioned in the whole issue (Rosalind Franklin). Sure, female scientist have been rare... But check out Marie Curie, Barbara McClintock and Lise Meitner... 

It just happened that the same day I red that National Geography I was able to improve the visibility of female scientists in media. Maybe not quite at the level of the above-mentioned ladies, and maybe rather local media. But it is apparently rare that they get two female scientists in one piece of news ;) It is nice that the people in the "International conference for rodent biology" in Portugal this summer were not the only ones interested in our photo-trap. And we had a few great days placing out boxes at the autumn colored Varanger-peninsula.
