Mid-march came with spring-weather. Something felt weird when the air was warm and the sun shined - but it still got dark in the evenings.Clearly, we got "easterweather" earlier than usually, as our internal thermometer told that this warm evenings should come with midnight sun... Anyway, conditions were good for skiing and after seven nights in the tent, seven days on skis and we skied with Sanja from Dividalen to Abisko along the Norway-Sweden border.

| Skiing in the forest is another story than on the open... Deep snow makes the pulka heavy, the trees trap one often and it is often difficult to see the landscape well enough to know which direction one should go. Or we should just have had a map which is better suited for orienteering in the forest than 1:100 000.... | |
