Within 36 hours we were from Tromsø to Rimouski, with three planes, four airports, two-check inns, one immigration interview, three taxis and one over-night bus. Pretty much all went smoother in Quebec this time than last time; to begin with the interview at immigration consisted of 2 questions. Then we had a cosy breakfast at home with friends, and at the university, within 2 hours I was registered, all paperwork organised and installed in my office. First time it took about two weeks... What was left to do was just to chat with people - it is quite different to be welcomed back than to arrive for first time and get to know people. Both easier and less exiting. But after such journey, I am very happy with an arrival to familar and safe instead of something new and exiting and challenging.
