The pulka-construction was tested in Øvre Dividalen nationalpark last five days with Sanja. First night her sister joined us, and we were supposed to find a cabin. Well... At midnight we did not want to continue searching our route along a lake shore, through a landscape of steep frozen river valleys (water level in the lake in question, Devvdesjavri, is controlled by a dam...) So we camped - and found out in the morning that we had camped on an island.
Therefore we had to cross yet another little channel, this time in daylight though. Here, the two sisters are working on a pulka...

Sanjas "Helge Ingstad" -skis in (actually only one of them) in the dark. Scary!
The sun does actually come above the horizon... :)
Devddesjavri from Devddesvuopmi, we camped here the second night and crossed over to Rostadalen the day after.
Beware of the cold! We met several frozen lemmings. Does not seem promising for a lemming-year next year...
Well down in Rostadalen, view from the forest up to Liggafjellet. Before getting down there, we almost got our tent destroyed by a sudden storm, and evacuated ourselves downwind to Rostahytta, where we spent one night resting from the storm. For a while we thought that we had lost a whole pulka and gotten tent poles broken. The final saldo was one lost spoon. From now on, I will have double-poles in my tent in the winter... To prevent traumas from the scary event we camped one more night outside, this time safely surrounded by spruce-forest :)
No need to cross Rostaelva over the ice - there were two bridges in the valley :)And my pulka? All the screws held, but the places where the cables are bent started to break, the cover broke a bit and some improvements have to be done for the steering properties. Anyhow, only once did we stop to fix my pulka on the way, and we necer needed to freeze our fingers because of it (unlike with the previous pulling system). All in all, I'm still happy with my construction :)
